Cursor movement - is it adjustable somehow?
« on: June 13, 2014, 00:43:53 »
Hey'all!

Sorry, I've tried to search an answer for my question on the Forum, but just haven't found...

I want to ask if the cursor movement is adjustable or not - Multi Commander is the best, but I just can't get accustomed to the cursor behaviour, like I press down, the focus reaches the bottom, then scrolls half a page, and the cursor is at the middle again...

From bottom to up the behaviour is the same, except when the focus is almost at the top, then it scrolls the explorer window line by line -> that's what I would need somehow...

I know, I could use the mouse wheel, but I'm old enough to use the keyboard as often as I can. :))

Thanks a lot! Have a nice day, ppl!

Regards,
Storm

Hey, folks!

I don't want to bump this thread, but I'm sure there is a way to set MC to move the cursor line by line, just couldn't find, where...
Please, if someone knows a solution, let me know! Thanks a lot!

Regards,
Storm

No. it is not possible to customize how moving up / down works.

I might maybe add I option for changing it if possible. Not sure it is.

Thanks! It would be nice to have the cursor staying at the bottom / top, while the explorer panel is scrolled line by line.

Mathias, let me show you what I meant: http://youtu.be/QSGiPu0tBhc
So it's already implemented, but only near the top...

That is because there is less then a page to scroll.
The bug is really that it does not scroll to the top if there is less then a page to scroll.

Changing how the auto scrolling works.. (or not work)  is totally difference and not sure if I want to mess with that.
because it might cause a lot of unknown side effects. As I said. maybe..

I like that "bug" - I would need it all the time.  ;)
Thanks for the possibility, and keep up the great work!
