Can't install multi commander
« on: July 29, 2014, 19:52:48 »
Every time I try to install multi commander when it's in the installation step it says: "Error opening file for writing: C:\Program Files\MultiCommander\MultiCommander.exe" with the following options: Click Abort to stop the installation,
Retry to try again, or Ignore to skip this file."
Then I do Ignore until the end and it doesn't install. I deleted the registry keys, and tried to reinstall it but the same happens.
I've read that this might happen because it hasen't been uninstalled correctly but i've never installed MC before.
If someone has a solution I would be grateful to them.
Thanks in advanced.
Marc

My guess is that you are installing it as "single user" BUT into "Program files" that are a protected location.

So either run the installer as admin, or select to install for everyone (the installer will then auto elevate with admin permission) or install into a folder that is not protected.
