Network drive
« on: February 15, 2015, 18:46:54 »
The computer is connected to ZyXEL Keenetic Giga. K Zexel is connected external HDD. If are connected through Windows, through "Windows Explorer", that is the network Keenetic resource, and the network drive is farther. And if to be connected through MultiCommander, through Network, "Keenetic" is visible, and here external HDD - no

Here is my vision.

External HDD is connected to Zyxel keenetic router. Windows Explorer is able to "see" that drive while MC is not.

Sorry. My English=0  :(

HDD is connected to a router, win7 sees it and through a home network, through a router, it is possible to be connected.
Multi Commander sees a router, and HDD doesn't see any more

It the extenal hd is not exposed as a normal network drive ? ( \\Sever\Share  path ? )

I have no idea what Zyxel does and how it expose the drive. Maybe they are doing something special ? or they are exposed some other way ?
Without more information about how Zyxel expose the drive. or what way they do it, I can't say how to get it to work with MC.

Path  - \\KEENETIC\FreeAgent GoFlex Drive

KEENETIC - router
FreeAgent GoFlex Drive - Share

MC in Network sees KEENETIC, and drive is not.

I don't know..  the Keenetic or Zyxel must be doing something special.. I don't know how they work

But If it find the network server and share I don't get why the content is not listed.

And how to drop (to nullify) all network settings in MC? Business seems to me in it, MC remembered absence of HDD and doesn't see its appearance

under NET: you have settings in there you can configure it to not cache servers.  and when you do refresh under NET: it will flush the network server cache
