Moving files from Android device only copies them
« on: March 03, 2015, 23:29:38 »
I have an Android phone (Samsung GS5) connected as USB media device. When I try to move files from the phone's storage card to a hard disk, MC actually just copies the file, and doesn't remove it from the destination. Attached is a screencast showing this. The file remains on the phone and can be viewed.

Running Windows 8.1.

Deleting the file works. Total Commander can move files correctly.

I can't reproduce that.. Is there any error in the file log ? ( Ctrl+L then look in both application tab and file operation tab)

I do get an error 10:

Since MC do not have full filesystem access to the device it talks to the device via a protocol that exists in many versions and all versions have there tweaks.
and also some devices have there issues with some calls of some versions.
So might be that the device does not full support the API the MC is using and MC do not fallback and try some other way.
I don't know for sure I do not have a GS5.
