Sorting folders
« on: April 23, 2017, 11:35:38 »
Thanks again for all your excellent work on this project - keep up the awesomeness! I use it daily and would be a bit lost without it now  :)

Just thinking it would be great if MC would remember how I want particular, commonly used folders sorted (perhaps it already does this?). Some folders I need sorted by date, some by size, others alphabetically. But is a nuisance to have to adjust this back and forth for each different folder. If MC remembered how I want it sorted, that would be wonderful.

Thanks so much,

Oli

That kind of configuration was looked at before But it is messy and can easily create confusion and conflicts and other issues.

But I think you can solve it using script..  You create a command that go to location X and it also sets the sorting and things.

See custom commands
MC.Explorer.Goto
MC.Explorer.Sort

Ok, thanks Mathias - I'll have a look at that and see how I go.

If you save a tab layout, the sort config will be saved to the layout file.
