Copy UNC path of a file/directory (like freecommander)
« on: December 13, 2017, 11:06:32 »
Hi all,

Working in a company employing many network "drives", the ability to quickly copy&paste the UNC path of a network drive is really helpful. FreeCommander used to have that builtin, but so far I haven't been able to find this in Multi Commander.

So I would like to get the \\server\storage\folder\file.txt instead of z:\folder\file.txt for easier and more reliable sharing between colleagues when referring to files in, for instance, emails.

Am I overlooking something?

I don't think you can.. (maybe by using script)
The Copy Path to Clipboard will copy the path used.  It will not resolve a mounted path to a UNC path,
