Set Default Search Columns
« on: March 01, 2018, 18:06:13 »
Is there a way to control by default the columns displayed in the search panel?

Set up all your columns the way you want them.
Right-click any column header.
Click "Save current layout as default".

Voila!

I do not have that option in the "Search" panel, ie... "F3" rendering provides specific columns which can be unchecked but there is no right click function to save in the search panel as there is in the default folders view panel. Any other ideas? And thanks for the initial feedback, btw.

Sorry - I misunderstood your question.

I don't use the F3 Search, but I don't believe you can save the results column layout as a "default".

The columns in the search module can not be saved.
The search module UI is on the way out. and a new system is on the list. But not there yet
