"Delete to Recycle Bin" does not do so
« on: July 19, 2018, 09:58:18 »
Hello,

When deleting files, even though "Delete to Recycle Bin" is checked in the "Delete Files" dialog window, deleted files don't go to the recycle bin (ex: if the recycle bin was empty, it stays empty).

Any ideas to enable deleting to recycle bin? Thanks!

Normaly that should not be an issue.. MC is not moving files to recylebin it self. MC tells Windows to do that.

Is the drive a normal local drive ? or is it network mounted or other it might not work, that option should not be availble unless you delete from multiple locations at once
Check file operation log (Ctrl+L to open log view ) and se what is say when you delete to recyle bin

Hello Mathias!

Good question, it made me identify deleted files don't go to the recycle bin when they have been deleted from my SSD drive, and the files go normaly in the recycle bin when deleted from my hard disk drive.

I found that each drive can be configured in the Recycle bin properties to have a certain amount of space for the recycle bin or to delete permanently the files instead of sending them to the recycle bin.

Thanks !! :)
