Deleted files don't go to Recycle Bin
« on: September 24, 2019, 00:58:23 »
When I delete a file and/or folder it doesn't show in the Recycle Bin despite of the setting Delete to Recycle Bin being checked
Why is that?

Additionally, what's the difference between Remove link target and link to Remove link, not target?
I run Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

1. Create temporary folder (you may optionally copy some test files there)
2. Create a couple of Junctions (Tools > File Links > Create Links...) to that folder
3. Try delete one of the junctions with Remove link, not target option
4. Try delete other junction with Remove link target and link option

I can't say with limited information on what is happening.
What does the fileoperation log say ?

When you delete with that option MC is not doing the delete.. It is then all handled by Windows.
And Windows will move file to Recycle bin if possible

However some filesystem do not support Recycle bin.. Some networked share do not support it, configuration for recyle bin can be that it does not fit there so windows do not move it there.
