List mode: resize columns to longest filename ??
« on: February 26, 2021, 23:06:48 »
I'm using V11.0 build 2770 on Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
I am new to MultiCommander, and am trying to get basic functionality the way I'm accustomed to!!

One issue that I'm having is that although I have the file listing in 'list' mode, the column headers are still present, and the longer filenames get truncated, with ... to show that there is more name available.  I can manually resize the columns as required, but it would be desirable if there was an option to automatically resize columns (only in List view) to fit the longest file.

I've tried setting 'Autosize columns' to True (default) or False, but it doesn't appear to affect this behavior...
Is this supposed to be doable??

Headers are still there so you can still sort content by different things, and the column size are controlled by the first column.
Flexible column size is not support in list mode, because it is a mess to implement that and it also causing some weird behaviours in some situations.
