Disable "Copy dropped files" dialog
« on: January 05, 2024, 12:49:59 »
When I drag a file from outside of MC into one of the panes, the program asks for confirmation. Is there a way to disable this confirmation? I couldn't find anything related to dropping a file from outside of MC - I've already created user commands for skipping copy and move dialog between panes.

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to have any effect on files that I drop into Multi Commander from outside (i.e., another program). The situation is the following: I receive e-mail attachments that I want to store on my hard drive. MC is a maximized window, with Outlook hovering in the foreground. When I drag the attachment from Outlook into MC I can let go of the left mouse button without losing the focus on Outlook, but it won't save the file on my drive in MC unless I make MC the active window and explicitly confirm I want to copy the dropped file.

Yes, unfortunately, I saved below settings, even restarted MC, but the box keeps appearing.

Maybe it is not files you are dragging. Some program send drag and drop data as special things that are not handled as files.. drops like that are handled different and is not a normal file copy

I'll try with a file already saved to my computer when I'm back home. Could something be done about it if this were the case, though, as Windows Explorer doesn't ask when dragging attachments from Outlook into the file explorer?

EDIT: You were right, it's because of the file coming directly from Outlook. No issues with files from my desktop, for example.
