"Click and hold" also triggers "Click" -> Please stop that
« on: November 22, 2024, 18:39:54 »
Hi Mathias,

under Explorer Panel Settings > Mouse configurations, the "Click and hold" event also triggers the "Click" event, e.g. when I have "Click" set to "Open/Execute" and "Click and hold" to "Rename" then upon clicking and holding it will (in case of a file) both start an inline renaming of the file and at the same time open the file. Not what anybody with these settings could want.

I want to humbly request, please, for a "Click and hold" to NOT trigger a "Click". Many thx in advance for considering it.

regards, m.

Maybe, but Im trying not to mess with how it works. Having it be a as configurable as it is, was a bad idea. There are so many situation where configurations mess with each and cause issues, and there are other things that are depending on mouse buttons like drag and drop, 'lasso' selection and more..
So if I do changes so one thing work better it will break it for how it works in another situation. There are too many combination to keep track off.

Yes, I understand. I am sure this can be tricky.
