MultiCommander Delete Count In Dialog Before Proceeding With The Deletion

Multi Commander does not explicitly mention displaying the count of items to be deleted in its Delete Dialog Box. Would be nice to view the Deleted Files/Folder Count beforehand ! Useful if say I accidentally selected another file/folder as well w/o realizing !  ;)

You see how many items it will delete there. But it starts to delete without asking for a confirmation.

But you want to show an extra dialog when it scanned and collected what files and folders it would delete.. for each time you do a delete and ask (eg.. Sure you want to delete 43 files and 3 folders? ) ??
That would annoy most users. So that will defiantly have to be a OptIn option.

Yes that would be heavensent, so I know I haven't ticked an unintended file/folder or it hadn't mistakenly ticked it automatically w/o my consent ! It could be in a separate dialog box prior to the confirmation dialog box (I always confirm deletions/copy/move) or it could be in one dialog box (preferably !) An option to enable this would be optimal, thanks !
P.S: Also would be nice to see count for all other operations as well (including Copy/Move)… Like this: "Sure you want to delete 43 files and 3 folders?" but also for all other file operations. It's a great security feature when you're constantly updating portable games from the internet like me, or moving e-Books around, so you know exactly what's happening beforehand, & don't accidentally delete something precious…

The best would be if the current confirmation windows handled it. but they does not know total number of subfiles/folders that would be copyed/deleted yet (only first level of selected). and that would require a major rewrite.
But showing an extra dialog might be added. It would annoy most people. so it will defenetly have to be something you enable. not standard behaviour..

Definitely.

Understandable

Yes this would be okay, I'll definitely use it !! Please it's important, I use my HDD to store lots of archived content, an accidental deletion would be catastrophic (like every fortnight I get DirectX Wrapper updates on Github & I have to delete the old zips, it's a very risky procedure), use 2 dialog boxes if necessary to get it done no problem…
The first dialog box can show the Delete/Copy/Move Count, & the second dialog box can ask for confirmation (I have confirmation boxes enabled in settings.) 👍
