startup folders for left and right panels
« on: January 03, 2013, 13:51:38 »
Hi,

I wonder if I can set the startup folder for the panels. With other "commanders" this is either in the Config menu or the current folders are saved when the program exits.

I prefer to have "My Documents" on the left side and "Donwloads" on right side at startup.

Thanks,
KrisztiƔn

1. You may set parameters in Explorer panel settings to save opened Tabs

2. You may launch MC with -F command line parameter providing startup config file. See here

The current paths should be saved when the program exits. Networks path are not save unless you enable it in options

and if you want fixed start path everything you startup you do that with commandline parameters, just as Jungle said.

Thanks, -L -R parameters worked nicely.

Can I set the left panel to be active by default?

Can I set the left panel to be active by default?

Menu > Configuration > Core Settings > Layout tab (first)

Under "Panel Tab"
Change "Set Focus at startup to [Auto]" to "Left"
