Thumbnail view is almost the same. except it give you an icon of the images for pictures.

This is the Icons View in UltraExplorer. FreeCommander XE also has this.

Thumbnail view with thumbnail size to 48x48 will almost get that.

That'll limit the usability as we'll have to change the view all the time and there is a big difference between the two views. Moreover it's not going to be easy for beginner users, as they care a lot for usability.

If you look at this screenshot these are the view modes available in FC and UE. The View modes can be easily changed.

The lack of different view modes in MC is only one of the few gripes I have.
