Title: Run focus selection on ENTER
Post by: pncdaspropagandas on January 26, 2017, 11:40:36
In another file manager I used to use, when I got a focused (but not selected) file or folder and pressed ENTER it would treat it as if it was selected and run it / go inside that folder. But for safety, if I want to delete it I have to select if first.

And if it is the first time entering a folder, it would already put focus on the first file/folder.

I find this very useful. If you could implement it I would appreciate very much.

Thank you.

If input focus is on a folder and you press enter it will enter that folder. Or I'm missing something ?

Dammit, how didn't I see that. Yes, it works already.

The only thing missing then is the option to automatically focus the first item in the panel on entering it for the first time (the following times it should remember what was selected as it currently does).

Thanks

Hmmm.  I guess this an "opinion thing".

I vary rarely want to select the first item (file/folder) when I enter a folder.

And it is only one more keypress to do so ;)
