Title: Checksum calculation issue
Post by: Jungle on June 05, 2019, 08:21:48
1. It seems that MC fails to calculate SHA-256/512 checksums
2. For SHA-512 no caption is displayed in the checksum tree

MC v8.3.2469

I do not get it to fail to calculate checksum for SHA256/512.. the Title/caption is missing but values are calculated.

MC is using the SHA-256/512 support that is provide by Windows. It might be that it is not supported or enabled by default in Windows 7

It might work if you install the SHA-2 Update for Windows 7 that is released  (SHA-2 contains hash for SHA256/512 and more)
Not sure if it is this update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4474419/sha-2-code-signing-support-update
