Support and Feedback / How to get only one Explorer panel on startup?

MC shows two panels ("windows"?). I can get rid of one of them by ctrl-F11. How to save this step to have only one show at startup? (I've searched the online documentation and this forum; perhaps I'm not using the correct terms).
