I don't have FF.  I can't reproduce that.

There was no error before that, that it failed to delete some files in the folder ? Is the folder empty?
Is the folder a real folder ? or special virtual files that FF hook into to do special stuff with?
The problem also occurred with other folders that came from a smartphone backup using MPE. The error message may vary, but it never offers the option to delete the files or end processes that might be preventing it.
Matthias515566,

I also have Firefox and have many "idb" folders deep within my profile storage archives, in paths similar to the one in your error log message. I've checked the properties for about half a dozen of them and they all show read-only attributes for the folders, and most or all of them contain additional read-only subfolders. You might need to clear that attribute from any folders you want to delete and they might be protected by some other running process.
That's an interesting point, but when files are in use, there is the option to terminate the corresponding processes, which isn't offered here. Also, nothing changes when running MC as an administrator, and the Windows Explorer deletes the respective folders without any issue.

The files do not need to be locked in order to reproduce the error. All the affected folders so far I have been able to delete easily using Windows Explorer. For testing, you can use a copy of a Firefox profile folder that contains many files.

Here is the text from the log:
2025-06-13 13:02:23.390 Failed to delete folder (163) : C:\Users\%yourusername%\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ovxoz3y4.default-esr - Kopie\storage\archives\0\2025-06-03\default\https+++www.youtube.com^partitionKey=%28https%2Cxn--verschwrungstheorien-99b.info%29\idb

Thank you that the new tabs now open next to the active tab.

4
The error message appears: "Folder is not empty! Cannot delete folder 'Foldername'."

I would like to have the file list view panel in the Explorer Panel to automatically change to display details (name, ext, size, date, etc.) when details view is selected and display only the filename when list is selected. I haven't yet found a way to do that. If this a new feature or something that is already available and I haven't found how to geet to it?
Configuration > Explorer Panel Settings > View Mode Settings
Here you can choose various tooltip settings for the "Detailed View Mode" and the "List View Mode," but I think these tooltips are not comprehensive enough for you. Showing details in a separate panel is a great idea.

I have updated to 3099, and now opening multiple files with the Enter key works again. So the issue must obviously be related to the MC code.

7
Unlocker ?
This is a very old program for deleting protected files. I don't think this is the reason for the issue.
My antivirus, F-Secure, quarantined MuktiCommander.exe, most recently on May 22. If others don't have this issue, then some kind of system error must have crept in on my end.

8
So there's no plan to ever fix this? And even a MultiScript can't handle it?

Script / Re: Open multiple files

It is a "External" Script. A very simple command:
Code: [Select]
"C:\Program Files\XnViewMP\xnviewmp.exe" "${focusfilepath}"

This doesn't work. I guess I have to learn how to do multi-scripting, or you could give me a working example.

Use MultiScript and get all selected files, and loop and call it each..

Or if it is CustomCommands type.. you can enable option for that command to 'run command separately for each selected files/folder'
But "FocusFilePath" only uses the file that is currently in focus, not all selected files.
I guess I need a different command for that.

I use "C:\Program Files\XnViewMP\xnviewmp.exe" "${focusfilepath}" to open the focused file with XnView. That doesn’t work for multiple selected files. How can I do that for multiple selected files?

13
If I have multiple files selected, I can no longer open them by pressing the Enter key. Instead, Unlocker was being launched, and after uninstalling Unlocker, nothing happens at all. The "Open" link from the context menu still works, and everything functions correctly in other file explorers.

Printing what ? A text file ?  File list ?
Any file like Word document, PDF-Document. Or CAD. Select files to print and use the command.

15
User defined commands for printing and “New Text Document”. New tabs should open next to the active tab instead of at the end of the tab bar.

Support and Feedback / Re: Possible Bug (15.4.0.3088)

I have the same problem. To access the files anyway, you have to double click into the field with the path and press Enter.

17
I have F-Secure and updated to 15.4 using MultiUpdate without any problems.

18
I don't want this button in the context menu, but rather as a custom keyboard shortcut in MultiCommander. Also, I would like to have a print button as well.

19
Your screenshots do show the correct directory size, though.

I don't know. I cannot recreate that issue.
I can reproduce this issue. This is a very old bug, and I don’t understand why you are unable to reproduce it. For example, moving and replacing an existing file does not work in admin mode with protected files.

To be able to turn it off, It been on the todo list for a while. Problem is that it will break a lot of other features/options. So it is not a quick fix. So because of that it been pushed a head.
That’s not important, and nobody needs it. I find it helpful that entire rows are highlighted, and I hate it the way it was in Windows XP.

You can save a Tab Session, and when reopened, the same panel will be highlighted as it was when saved.

I translated this with ChatGPT:

Hello, I have a strange problem that I haven't found in the forum so far. When I connect an Android smartphone (Samsung) to a Windows 10 PC via USB, a specific folder in the DCIM directory is not displayed in Multi Commander. In other file managers (Windows Explorer, FreeCommander, xplorer2, Total Commander, etc.), the directory is always shown. I have not set any display filters.
Additionally, I have the problem that I can copy files from the smartphone to the PC but cannot move them.
I think Multi Commander is otherwise the best file manager. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Re: Tab Sessions drop down menu
« on: November 24, 2024, 19:00:15 »
Hello Mathias,

it would be nice if there was a button that would provide a drop down like the sub-menu in the File > Tab Sessions sub menu (see picture).

I tried to find an internal command that would pop that menu to make a user defined command (UDC) that would pop it directly, but I did not find any.

regards, m.
I created such a menu myself. You need to create a user-defined command for each tab session and then add them to a custom menu. Creating such a user-defined command is done using the "Internal Commands" setting. Select the module "MultiCommander base," and then, under "Command," you can find the tab sessions along with other commands. The entries start with "Session." @Dev: Why are this commands not listed in alphabetical order? While reading this list i was confused.
