Support and Feedback / Re: context scan menu
« Last post by Mathias (Author) on July 13, 2025, 21:28:58 »
Im note sure I understand the issue. something with option in Shell ContextMenu.
Problem is that MC do not have much control over that. MC ask Windows for the Shell Context Menu. And it is up to the installed Shell Extension. Problem is that some of them assume that trey are called from Windows Explorer. and if not. they do not return any item for the menu. So.. MC have no control of 3rd party shell extensions

Support and Feedback / context scan menu
« Last post by AvidReader on July 13, 2025, 18:45:12 »
I use Multicommander version 11.3-1822 / September 2021, because I don't like the ho(o)ver function and turning it off didn't succeed. I noticed that the contextmenu that I access using the right mouse button doesn't have the scan option anymore. The only time when I get the scan option in the context menu is when I select a map, and even then it's hidden in a submenu. I use antivirus software that contains a firewall. When I decided to uninstall that software I noticed the windows defender scanner immediately turned up in the context menu, directly accessible. After re-installing my anti virus/ firewall software my problem returned.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Feature Requests and Suggestions / copy dialog colors in dark mode

Mathias,
Just a small feature request, the copy dialog in dark mode only has black/white and green for the progress bar. While the dialog in light mode has a few colors which i always loved, could you color the dark one just a little bit more.
Thanks.

Support and Feedback / Copy: rename and append greyed out
« Last post by Fufurro on July 07, 2025, 17:15:52 »
Hello! I'm using multicommander for quite a while now, and I just noticed that in the copy/overwrite popup the options to rename and append files are greyed out.
Is there a setting that I can change to enable these functions?

I'm using the latest version on Windows 10.

Thanks in advance!

Beta Releases / Re: 15.5 Beta

So it works in previous version ? Sure ? because absolutely nothing about how that works is changed,
I think I had forgotten that after renewing the automatic restoration of the windows, I have to manually close all instances and restart the batch file. The error occurs when I simply shut down the system without closing and restarting beforehand. I use Windows 10 and will probably buy the Extended Support in October and then continue to use Windows 10 for at least half a year longer than the last update was.
"Autosizer" ? 3rd party tool ? why you need that for MC.? what does it to ?
This tool is not the reason. This is only a small, very old tool, and if I remove this tool, I can only bring that instances visible with SystemInformer.

There is no settings, can't be turned off.
When MC is closed it will save the Windows position to registry (ini file in sessionConfig for portable)
and when MC is started it will load and use that

You mean this function is already achieved by MC? I didn't find any setting option.
Right now this didn't function well. :)
