Beta Releases / Icon offset for custom toolbar button
« on: December 22, 2013, 18:14:17 »
If you add a custom toolbar button with it's own icon from another icon-dll and you only want to change the tooltip,
the icon offset is always set to 0 (not the offset entered before)!. So if you press save, the icon is always changed to the first icon in the dll.
It would be nice, if the correct offset is displayed when editing the custom button.

Also is it possible to add standard buttons (e.g. commands from the file command toolbar) to the quicklaunch bar without defining new custom commands?

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Eject portable device
« on: August 30, 2012, 09:25:27 »
Hello Mathias,

if you disconnect portable device, which is displayed e.g. in left panel, both panels are reset to root directory of c:.
It would be nice, if only the panel, in which the portable device was displayed, gets reset to c:.
The other panel should remain untouched.

Support and Feedback / Copy with administrative priviliges
« on: July 31, 2012, 14:00:19 »
When mc is started normal (without administrative priviliges) and a copy operation is performed from one panel to the other panel in a restricted directory, mc asks to execute this operation with administrative  priviliges.
If the source panel is an open archive file (e.g. rar) and you try to copy from this archive to a restricted directory, nothing happens.
It would be nice, if mc also asks in this cases to use administrative priviliges for the copy/move operation.

Support and Feedback / Old 7za.dll
« on: July 09, 2012, 11:43:20 »
The "7za.dll" in Extensions/FS7Zip is outdated. Some 7z-archives compressed with newer 7zip versions can not be extracted.
I replaced the dll from http://www.7-zip.org/download.html with newer version and it worked.

Support and Feedback / Select files with shift-click
« on: July 03, 2012, 11:30:40 »
Hello Mathias,
in Windows explorer you can select multiple files with shift click.
With Multi Commander this is also possible, but the last file is not selected.
Is this a bug or have I missed a setting in options dialog?

Oh sorry found it. Explorer Panel Settings=>Mouse configurations=>Left mouse button=>Click was set to Toggle selection

In Quick Launch Customization it would be nice if one could use relative path or multi tag in input field for alternative icon e.g.:
..\Icons\door-icon.ico
${mcinstallpath}Icons\door-icon.ico
instead of:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\...\Eigene Dateien\PortableApps\PortableApps\MultiCommander\Icons\door-icon.ico

Support and Feedback / UserDefinedCommands.xml
« on: June 29, 2012, 09:19:44 »
UserDefinedCommands.xml are not saved with backup and restore config!
I installed new version 2.5.1 and all my userdefined commands were gone.
Reinstalling from config backup doesn't help.
Luckely I had a copy of my mc installation on usb stick.
Are there any other configuration files that should be backuped?

Support and Feedback / View Filter
« on: June 28, 2012, 10:06:34 »
if you move the mouse over the "View Filter" input field in the panel status bar a tooltip pops up with filter examples:
!today and -!today. In the german version it reads !heute and -!heute, but only !today and -!today gives a result.
I think an all other languages it is the same.

ah I see,

found my error. I used a standard color profile and in the color specifications for file (normal)  "use standard background color" was not checked.
Thank you for the hint.

Hello Mathias,

it would be nice, even if "Alternating background color" and "override standard windows background" are checked,
selected files and focused files could keep their own background colors (perhaps as an option).
