The two settings "Lock Tab" and "Lock Tab - Allow subpath change" - what is the purpose of them?
I have a few sets of tabs I regulary use, and thought to try out the "Lock Tab" option. But I don't get how it works?
When I lock a tab, I expected it to stay the same when MC relaunches. But instead it just view the C:\ root path.
I allso expected that when I open a new folder in a locked tab - but allowing subpath change, it would create a new tab and jump to it, while the original tab stays the same.
What am I missing here?

The locking have nothing to do with reverting to c:

Lock tab make it not past that path. allow subpath change. also you do change to a subpath but not out of that top level that you locked at.

Nolly,
to have the behaviour you want, set the tab to "Lock Tab" and under Configuration -> Explorer Panel Settings -> Tab section,
check "Open new tab when going to new location if tab is locked".

Thank you, both Mathias and AlanJB! MC just gets better and better ;) I tried to check out the Online Documentation before I asked here, but it had no content about the panel tabs, http://multicommander.com/docs/paneltabs

There are some gaps in the documentation...
But keeping documentation (especially Help documentation) up-to-date is as much work as developing and maintaining the programs behind the application.
I have recently offered to help update it...

Looks like I forgot that page. :)
But the lock things are not universal for all page..
There are some information for the Explorer panel here http://multicommander.com/docs/ExplorerPanel
