Title: Selecting files
Post by: pncdaspropagandas on February 02, 2017, 16:37:10
When I go to a folder with 3 or more files and do the following:

- Press END
- Hold SHIFT
- Press UP

MC selects all files except the last one.

My desired behavior would be selecting the 2 last files.

Is this a bug or a desired behavior?

Thanks

It works for me in Commander style setup.
What setup are you using. Have you tweaked any navigations settings ?

You can selected everything with Ctrl+A or Num* (toggles everything)

I'm using the Windows Explorer Style.

I downloaded a fresh portable and repeated the process and it worked (selected only the 2 last files).

So I must have changed some setting that is causing this behavior but don't know what setting is. I'll check if I can find.

Thanks

I did further testing and using a fresh install with explorer style. You can reproduce the problem doing:

- Press END
- Hold SHIFT
- Press UP
- Release SHIFT
- Press UP
- Press END
- Hold SHIFT
- Press UP

The second time you hold shift and press up to select the last 2 files, MC gets crazy and select the 2 files before the last.

Thanks

Did you get the same results?

I might have got the same results, but there seems to be some inconsistency.  I can't pin down what, though.

I need to check more rigorously.  I'll get back to this topic...
