Title: Folder-Sorting Problem
Post by: ChrisB on April 03, 2012, 09:57:54
Hello,

first i want to say, MultiCommander is one of the best
File Manager, maybe the best.

There is one strange behaviour of Folder-sorting.
The Folder "Avidemux 2.5" is after "Z" (when i
click on the ext-tab which should sort only files
not folder). Reason is the space and number in the
Foldername. But it shouldnt be. Unfortunately
I found no way to change that.

Greetings
Chris

That is because the extension part of the name is ".5"

But it should probably not to get the extension part of the name for folders.

Maybe the best solution is to rename it without a dot. With portable programs is that no problem.
Are there any plans to add "wrap text" to the file (text) viewer?

Theres another issue: When i copy files from a bz2-archive (with tar-file inside) to another folder, it overwrites the existing files without any warning or message.

Theres one problem with the search-engine. Example: in the regedit.exe is the word "Common-Controls". But with the search-engine i´m not able to find it.

Even though the registry is emulating a filesystem. The Search does not fully work for it yet

Theres still a little problem with the folder-sorting. Clicking on the ext-tab change also the folder-ranking revers. It shouldnt.

It actually by design. it will sort by name when sorting folders on extension.
