Support and Feedback / Progress Bar doesn't show speed curve. Windows 11. MC v. 11.4 Build 2831, 32bit

When I upgraded to Windows 11, file paste or file "send to" function generated a Progress Bar which was a simple green line.  It no longer showed a progress speed curve.  This is annoying.  I could not find a setting that would cure this.  (The same problem occurs with Windows Explorer.)
