Well ,

i unziped it allright but i did it to another computer first and i move it to the other computer unzipped.I doubt that this is causing problems since i moved the whole tree stucture as it was (simple copy paste procedure of the MC root unzipped folder).

Then, when it crashes it cannot send crash report because the computer i try to use it does not have internet access.

Also , i cannot use the full version because i don't have rights to install programs to that pc.That is why i try the portable version.

I will search the xml to disable version checking and see if it corrects the problem and i will post back.Unfortunately i will be absent for two weeks but i will do it afterwards.

Thank you so much for your time answering me.

Hi Mathias ,

thank you for answering and for MC which is a great piece of software.

I use version 3.2.1.1432 and the structure of the zip is being kept. I just do a simple unzpi and run it from there.

Hi all.

I try to start multi commander portable(latest version) but soon after i start it it crashes.

When i check the multicommander.log i see that every Multicommander.log  writes up to this sentence :
Code: [Select]
Checking if new version exists...
Since i dont know much the only assumption i can do is that the program crashes when it try to look for a newer version since the computer i am trying to run it has no Internet access.

Is there a way to start multicommander and have it not to check for newer version?
OR
what info should i post here to help you understand better why it crashes?

Thank you much for your time reading this.
