hi.
I work on a Win 11 English prefferd comp. The system is also supporting Hebrew encoding.
hwen I drag an Email from Outlook (hebrew subject) to the folder under MC I get a giberish file name (ðéñéåï - TEST.msg). when I drag the same Email to the same folder but under the Explorer I get the Hebrew title as I see it in the Outlook (ניסיון - TEST.msg).
Some thing on the way of converting/ copying from Outlook to MC makes a diff.
does the MC not supporting all Heb encoding? is it a matter which font I use as default for emails? Which I don't think is the reason.
I attche a photo of the MC version I use.

Hi.
I know this topic was discussed before but the changes are not kept.
I make the changes in the multibuttons.xml file (C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\MultiCommander\Config\multibuttons.xml) and for some reason it holds a few days and goes back to default.
I even tried to avoid updates by skipping the update note.... nothing helped.
Do I do something wrong?

I did know how to search so I ask you.
when I press CTRL the button panel area is changing to blank cells.
Is there some option to define these cells as links to directories \ folders like the usual buttons panel?

To my understanding the file under my username is located here:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\MultiCommander\Config\MultiButtons.xml
and as I understand your reply this file is not supposed to change.

the 1st file of 15428 byts is the file I edit and saved. I edit the file with the note editor.
the file of 11192 byts is the file before I edit it. and it looks as this file rewrites every now and than.
you can see also the location of each.

Hi.
So the simplest way to avoid the change is to not update the MC, and once in 3-4 month to check for updates and then reconfigure again the MultiBottons file.

How does the manual editing becomes overwritten?
as it looks to me there is some kind of a reset in the app files that replaces the updated MultiButtons.xml file with the original one.
I update the one in this location: C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\MultiCommander\Config\

If it possible I want the usual columns and one that I can add text so the folder name will stay just a number.
I try to avoid this : "31001 - IEC" . I want to have a column for the folder name "31001" and a column for some text "XXXXXX" .
It will make the sorting easier.

I see that there is an option to input some description in one of the columns (name of company for instance).

If you drop on desktop / explorer it is created correct ? (to rule out that the program that create the dropdata is doing something wrong.)

and as for the tabs on the tab panel I see that if I change the fonts than the height of the tab is also changing in height. Where can I change the height of the tabs as a default.

I looked for 2 options that will be very helpful to my opinion, but did not find any reference.
1. How can I keep the panel Tab width as a default? Each time I open the MC I need to widen the height so the buttons will be wider and more easier to press upon. see photo.

When I drag an email for my inbox to MC, I get a dialog box to confirm copy and after confirmation the email appears in the folder. But HEB fonts are changing and ENG fonts stay the same. photo sample attached. the subject of the sample email is in HEB and in ENG.Hi.
