Support and Feedback / Clear search on favorites window

When I use the favorites window, I always just start typing the name/tags of where I want to go (instead of using arrow keys), and press Enter to go. Problem is, next time I bring up favorites window, my last search is still there and I have to manually clear it before searching again. Not even Ctrl-Backspace or Shift-Home work in the search field to quickly clear it!! 

Is there a setting that will clear my search automatically? (I can't find it)
Or at least is there a quicker way than backspacing to clear the search field?
