Folder do not have a "file extensions", So you can not sort folders on it. it will be part of the name
But the example provided should be sorted correctly when sorting by name

It works with freeCommander,
such this
Happy.001
Chappy.002
Zubby.003
Abby.004
sorted by extension (handle folder as File)

how to sort folder by extension?
Like this.
Folders are:
happy.001
Happy.002
Happy.003
(extenstions are 001, 002 and 003)
