Support and Feedback / Re: Everything support - wrong folder size
« on: February 12, 2025, 12:16:32 »
Ok, I understand.

But still MC hangs when operation is in progress ("Calculating folder size, please wait...") and I want to close MC. Need to kill it. Is it possible to cancel task, when exiting MC?

EDIT:
I tried to upload dump (via https://multicommander.com/support/upload), but there is an error:
Bad Gateway
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

Everything version is 1.4.1.1026. It get's 'out of memory' exception. Don't know whether MC is causing it or Everything it self has problem.
I can't see folder size in Everything. When I checked: Index folder size, the size is shown in both: Everything and MC. It seems not to be default option though.

Moreover, when MC shows "Calculating folder size, please wait..." then I cannot close MC (hangs on closing until I kill it).

Hi,

I've just downloaded MC 15.0 and installed Everything to check the new feature (folder sizes). Well it turns out that all folders have the same size and it is huge. Check the screenshot.
Also noticed that when Everything has crashed (during search) MC hangs (not responsive)

That's right. Only the first connection loses the focus. I didn't notice that.
But now I noticed something that might help. When "FTP log" panel is visible then focus works fine (it stays on FTP files), but when I make it not visible (change tab to i.e. "Application log") then focus is lost.

Hi,

When I connect to FTP server, then the focus is lost and it points to FTP log panel. This seems to be unintentional, as FTP log is read only and most of users does not care about the details (until everything is working well). So my suggestion is to set the focus on the panel with FTP files after successful login instead of FTP log. Is it reasonable?
