portable installation on my nas
« on: April 10, 2013, 16:41:52 »
Hi,
I prefer a portable installation if it's possible to my nas in a unc folder. So I've taken the portable package of MC and extract it in \\nas\portables\mc to all my other portable tools. All works fine until  the test with a ftp connection. I can set up a connection and click on the save button, but after a restart of MC the defined set is gone. In a local installation on a harddrive e.g. d:\mc or whatever it works fine. The config file "D:\MC\UserData\FS-FTP\ftpsites.xml" is created. Is there any chance to do this kind of installation or not? I prefer this because it is only one config for all my PC in my my network.

THX for your great and powerful file manager

Not sure why it does not work. But I will look into it.

the same behavior is for the last opened tabs. On my nas installation is no history folder folder under SessionConfig and of course no file "MultiCommander.ini" or a ***.ini for the last opened tabs. On my local drive is everything OK. There are all necessary files. This behavior is reproducible in a other network that I can say it isn't a special fault in my network. Hope it helps you to find a solution.
THX
