F7 key not working (solved)
« on: July 29, 2019, 09:28:18 »
Hello,

F7 key (make dir) is not working most of the time, sometimes yes. It's not coming from my keyboard as in other software it works. Other F key are working fine (F4 for ex.)

Quite strange and annoying.

I use the X64 V8.3 (build2469) portable version...

Thanks

What do you do before it stopps working?

Hello Mathias,

What do you mean with default setup ?
Yes I'm in a tab. I only use 1 tab in each panel anyways. When F7 key is not working, I still can create directory with the button on the button bar (bottom of the screen)...
I made no change in Mutlicommander when this problem start. Even closing and restarting MC is not solving the issue, a full reboot solve it but not sure for how long...

What default mouse and key setup you have in MC,  Commander Styled or WinExplorer Styed
It must be something that happens that make it stop working. I have not seen it happening.
Do any other F-keys that are panel depending work ?  like for view, Copy, delete. ?
Do other keys that are not f-keys work..  lite for selection, filtering, moving up / down using arrow key.. and similar

Hello Mathias,

I found that it's only happening when I have a specific software running on my pc in the same time. Even if this software is minimized my F7 key is not working on MC, all other F keys are working fine.
If I close this software, F7 is working again...

Problem solved for me.

Thanks for support.

Was it a special program you had running ?
Or a common program that many other users might also be running ? If it is a common program then I'm interested in knowing what program that was so I can tell other if they have same issue
