Multicommander won't save column sizes

MC looks like a very good program, but for some reason, when I re-size the columns, it won't remember them (when I shut it down and re-open it).  I've un-checked "autosize columns", so it shouldn't be re-sizing them automatically.  When I shut down and re-start, it keeps going back to its default column widths.  Is there a way to "freeze" the column widths so they'll stay where I put them?
