How to prevent tabs? (=Allow only one directory in each pane)

I want to avoid tabs.

How can I disable them?

I need only one directory per pane (left and right) at a time.

No you can not disable tabs.. It is not only explorer panels that are shown in tabs..  checksum and search and others extensions are also shown in tabs. and turning of tabs would make them not show.
