Alanrf:
Is it possible to change the color of a folder name?

For example, if I have a folder named "My Special Folder" could I change the font, or background color, of the name of that single folder in the folder tree without affecting any other folders?

Is it possible to show, for example, a folder tree like this -

...
Folder 1
Folder 2
My Special folder
Folder 3
Folder 4
...

You got file coloring under the color wheel on the toolbar
You can modify the default or create own color profiles
There you can define a rule that will match only that path item and then you can set textcolor, backgroundcolor, font style (but not fontname and size)

Nolly:
Here is an example you can use.
If you click on step 1 - 3 as the attached image shows, you can make a rule that fits your preferences.

Coloring is not available in folder tree, is it?

Ahh correct. I missed that part..

The FolderTree panel do not currently support coloring. But if you want color in the normal list panel you can do as shown above.
