copy/move files from USB drive to PC
« on: February 11, 2020, 09:43:30 »
Version 9.6.1 on Windows 10

I use the shift and down arrow to select a bunch of files, but when i use F5 or F6 to copy or move the "selected" files, only 1 file is copied or moved.
is there another/better way of doing this?
Or am i doing something wrong?
TIA
Glyn

That sounds strange. I'm not able to recreate that.
What kind of default setup do you use.. Commander styled or WinExplorer style ?
Before copy how many selected items does it say in the status row.

Thanks Mathais,
now it is even more strange. I tried the same thing today and it works as expected. No idea why it only copied a single file yesterday, but now is copies them all.
i am using Commander style and the correct number of selected files is displayed.
i am copying photo files from my camera which is connected via USB.
I selected F6 to move, but it only copied. i was able to delete the files on the camera afterwards using Multiple Commander. maybe some security built in the camera card. not a major issue

Thanks for the response.

Sound very strange. like somethings is ignoring commands from MC.
Copy and Move are same.. move are copy with delete after (unless it is a move on same disk)
(If it is connected as a filesystem.. if it is connected as a portable devies  WPD: then anythings can happens, it is up to the device.)

In the filesytem log you can see that it does  Ctrl+L
