Core Settings -> Layout (Tab)
Under "Panel Tab" setting.. Uncheck the "Activate tab when drag over it"

Changelog.txt is located in the application folder.'

Mathias, while it's great to be able to just drag outside Mc to another app, copying / moving something to another tab in Mc with this setting is not possible anymore. While dragging a file over a tab the cursor changes into a + indicating that it could be copied / moved but releasing the cursor does not do anything.

Could you make it dependant on whether control or alt is pressed when you start to drag? That way we could have both worlds. Ctrl-drag will not change to a tab but a normal drag will, or something like that.

If it is unchecked so that it does not auto switch tab , pressing ctrl+shift will force it to switch tab
