Can it be used similarly to the WinSCP lib?

Not sure what you question is.

But MC do support SFTP (Filetransfer over ssh) however.. some newer crypoalgorithms are not supported yet

I hope MC supports SCP like WinSCP.

I dont know WinSCP.. but  SFTP is using SCP
