Ability to change position of the button panel.

First off, thanks for a nice piece of free software. What i would like to see is the ability to change the position of the button panel( i know it can be moved ), the thing im mainly looking for is to have it on the right or left most place on the screen. With 16/9 monitors i usually move all the tool bars i can to either the left or the right side of the screen to have a "bigger" workspace in the middle, this is also a thing i like to see on this software. But this is a rather minor issue, as i find having a floating button panel ok.

I understand the issue. But I'm not sure if that is possible to add without major rewrites on how core stuff works.
