Multi-Rename

GrantSP:
apologies in advance to all if this is obvious!

I can use the Multi-rename to change existing characters in my files but I just cant figure out how to ADD characters to the start or end of existing names.

eg.

file1.txt, file2.txt, file3.txt

to become

NEW_file1.txt, NEW_file2.txt, NEW_file3.txt

I figure it is right in front of me but I can't see it.

Is it the fact that I'm not actually 'renaming' any existing characters? Simply 'adding' on new ones.

Jungle:
NEW_[N] for Filename?

GrantSP:
No.

That was the first thing I tried.
It results in the errors: "Failed to Rename"

I can change any character that is already there but not add any.

I tried and it works.

BTW, Mathias. If files are read-only, confirmation dialog appears on every file with no option "Apply to all"

Can you rename one of the normal way.?  Ctrl+F6 / or slow click and edit name  (depending on setup)
And does it show any error or warning dialogs when doing it ?

Also Ctrl+L and look in the File Operation log.. Do it list any error at the end.. ?
