Title: make MultiCommander the default system-wide handler?
Post by: markai on June 04, 2023, 18:34:49
When choosing Open path in some application (like Everything), it will open the path in a fresh Windows Explorer window.
Is there a way to make MultiCommander the default handler instead, so Open path would open a tab in MultiCommander?

I mean, in Windows system, I can choose my default web browser (OK, it's been a fight with Microsoft)
and I can choose which of my default apps gets to open docx files, or XT files, etc etc
Is there also a way in Windows (Windows 11) to define which software to handle Open path requests?

The following link may help.  The solution is for the "Q-Dir" file manager, but the principle should be the same.
