I tried to unpack the Software FontViewOk directly in the program files folder, but this did not work. MC do just nothing, say nothing when run not anyway in admin mode.
I cannot help with this because I use WinZip & 7Zip.

Have somebody testet the daylightsavings-problem when run MC permanent as admin?
What is the "daylightsavings-problem"?  I run MC permanently in Admin mode and I have no problems...

Make your selection then, from the Menu:

Tools -> Change Properties (Attributes/Time)..., check 'Change attributes' and make your settings.

Beta Releases / Re: MultiCommander v8.9 BETA

Hi Mathias, dunno if you were talking to me, shift drag only does a move here, and ctrl drag does a copy.

But that is normal Explorer (and other file commander) behaviour ???

Should that not be Ctrl + drag/drop?

Shift + drag/drop does a move in Windows Explorer...

the problem with the lack of progress and and speed seems to be only present when copying very big files. I made today a copy of a folder with smaller files and the progres info was back for this job.

@Matthias515566, I just tested with a 2GB file then a 41Gb file..  Still got progress bars...

I know this isn't exactly helpful, but I cannot reproduce either.

I would vote for Jungle's idea of the marquee progress bar.

It is simple, informative enough (showing each part of the path being searched is unnecessary overhead, IMHO) and it is consistent with the rest of the MC interface.

Edit: Build 2499 seems to fix the crashing problem.  Thanks Mathias.

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Re: Delete Search-History
« on: March 06, 2019, 17:23:13 »
Interestingly, I have just had the same experience (build 2469).  I also selected only Logs, History and session.

I lost my open tabs, tab layout and settings for View -> Toolbars

184
OK - assigned a shortcut key & retested - all works OK.

BTW, Mathias, did you delete all my earlier posts in this thread?

185
I have Alt+F7 mapped at the OS level, so I cannot use that.

I simply use Menu > Extensions > File Search.

OK - More info:
  • If I Click the "Advanced" button (to check RES1:  is selected) and click "Start", it crashes every time
  • If I just enter a file type and path and hit Enter, the search succeeds (but in the old-style panel)
  • If I just enter a file type and path, the "List Result in" (bottom left) is unselectable (see screenshot)

...but I have had the MDV refuse to keep altered settings without my manually editing the xml.

MDV?

Apologies - I use the portable version, so my file paths are different.

Your file will be on the path:

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\MultiCommander\Config\ColumnSets.xml.

Hi Mathias.

Yeah, I know that:  I was just going to check that the structure of the file was sane ;)

ColumnSets.xml  is in the Config folder of your MC profile.

If it is not write-protected, could you post the contents of it here (no personal data is contained in it)?

Did you restart MultiCommander after disabling the FS-Zip extension?

What happens when you double-click an archive file?

What exactly happens?  Have you tested in the debugger?

Try:
Code: [Select]
MC.SetActiveTab PANEL=ACTIVE TAB=1;

192
After your updates, try hitting Shift+F2 (force refresh).

I don't believe it's a bug or an oversight.

Code: [Select]
MC.Explorer.Goto means open the specified path in the current tab, and

Code: [Select]
MC.Explorer.NewBrowser means open a new tab at the path specified.

See the docs here: http://multicommander.com/docs/customcommands_list#mc.explorer.goto

and here: http://multicommander.com/docs/customcommands_list#mc.explorer.newbrowser

This is the status bar and is always present.

When appropriate, it will contain information about operations that MultiCommander is performing (for example, the progress and count of items being copied or moved).

195
On W10 I run MC as admin & have made sure it is fully whitelisted to prevent M$ or my AV from interfering with it.
I never see those warnings & everything works.

Ditto - but on Win 7.

If you right-click in a column header you can choose "Save current layout as default".

Hi Ulf.

Can you not use combinations of StrToUpper() and StrSub()?

Could you post your MultiScript source here, please?
