Title: File coloring on apply filter
Post by: ipiq on March 26, 2018, 09:14:14
After using some other orthodox file managers I came to MC and I like it a lot. Congrats for the great work!

I would like to know whether is it possible to link File Coloring rules to Filters. It would be great to apply a user-defined coloring scheme for files when applying a custom filter. I suppose that, as a workaround, I could define some command that performs the two actions...

Also, in the filter box (Ctrl+F), typing the name of the custom filter does not select the filter with that name, but filters files with the name of the filter... so the mouse is required to apply an advance filter, unless you define a custom command for that. Is it possible to select the "behavior" of the filter box?

Thanks and best regards!

No. the View Filters and Colors are different.
You can select files based on colors files using Ctrl+Shift+(Num+) then all files with the same color profile set will be selected

No you do not need mouse.. Ctrl+Shift+F will show the view filter popup
