Title: ** Vote for next major feature to include **
Post by: Mathias (Author) on August 21, 2011, 14:53:10
The planing for what the next major feature to include has started. Listed are a some of the major features that are planed for the future. (This is not all, There is also a secret list. Do not want to revel everything that is planed).

We all have different needs. So what of the following features would YOU like to see be included into Multi Commander.

Only feature that require major work are listed here. A lot of minor feature are planed, but they are not listed here.

Any feature that you would like to see that are not listed here ? Then post comment about it. And I might put it up there.

Vote for the top 3 you would like.

No guarantee that the winning items will be included. It also depends on how much work they require to implement

If you have wises for how some of the listed feature should work or sub-features that they should included. Fell free to leave a comment.

I voted for multi rename but would also like the copy and move function to be a little faster than it is especially to flash drives. As it is now I must use teracopy or wait forever for mc to finish. Creating shortcuts does not work either unless they are in the same pane but I'm sure you are working on that already. Thanks very much.
Title: Another suggestion: Support for Mac OSX

How about supporting MAC OSX or even linux?
Why stick with Windows?

MC has great potentials compared with the old NC or even TC.
On Mac there are some initiatives but they are limited (muC) or buggy.

R.

Hi,
Nice to be able to use this freeware software.
Actually I am using AB Commander because it offers the possibility to synchronize folders or files. This is very handy when making back-ups.
This function is one of my favourite.
Do you think we will have a chance to get it soon in Multi Commander ?

Able to synchronize folders or files is a feature that is very high up on the list. But if it will be included into the next major release is not yet decided.

Would really like to see better high DPI support since I use Medium 125% exclusively and have already reported problems with it.

Hi,

Thanks for your continued dev efforts.

However, all I want and i am sure many users do want it to is to be "Able to set the path of both the left and right panel from one command.

I see how that can be useful.

I will be there in the next release.", besides the standard and simple Windows Explorer-like List View. Is this that much difficult to implement?

Regards.
