Is there a way to disable the Paste from Clipboard into Explorer Panel feature?
I'm referring to this feature:

Support and Feedback / Re: Windows 11 oddities

Windows Explorer Compatibility Look'n'Feel does solve the right-click problem. Switching to this mode took away my grid lines, but I was able to put them back in the Explorer Panel settings, so all is good.

Thanks. This was a very annoying problem for me.

Still waiting on an easy solution to the New > Text File problem (in the other thread).

I have the same problem.

Attached are the two screen captures of Windows and Multi Commander.

PLEASE fix this. It's really annoying. I like to create text files for notes.

Feature Requests and Suggestions / More space above rows in list view
« on: February 19, 2018, 10:09:02 »
I think Multi Commander would be more popular if you change some of the defaults to make it look better out of the box.

The main change is to have extra row height in list view. I set mine to 5. I think it should be 5 by default, or at least 4. I also think the border around the active panel should be black.

I know Multi Commander is extremely customizable, but most people do not want to go searching to figure out how to customize it.

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Undo closed tab
« on: February 19, 2018, 09:51:50 »
Sometimes I close a tab by mistake and would love to get it back. It would be nice if there was an "Undo closed tab" option when you right-click in the explorer panel on a tab name or next to the tab names.

Thanks for the answers. I eventually did a fresh install and didn't importing my previous configuration, and now it works. So maybe I selected some feature in the configuration by mistake that messed things up.

Anyway, it works now. This is great forum.

In Menu: Configuration > Explorer Settings > Keyboard Handling, uncheck "Forward keys to command line bar".

It's still not working. After selecting this option, it does not type the text in the command line bar, but it does not find the next file with the letter I typed. It used to type the letter in a box at the bottom of the explorer window and find the next file. It doesn't do either.

And, a possibly unrelated problem, when I right-click on a file in the explorer pane, nothing happens.

Any ideas?

I installed multi-commander on a new computer and I have two things that are not working:

1. When I'm in the explorer pane and I type a letter, it used to go to the first file that starts with that letter. On the new computer, when I type a letter it types the letter in the Command Line Field at the top, and does not go to the first file with that letter.

2. When I right-click on a file in the explorer pane nothing happens.

I'm using the 64-bit version, v7.7 (build 2404) on Windows 10, 64-bit.

Any ideas?

I can't figure out how to set the default location in a new explorer panel. I did this before, but I can't figure out how I did it. I see there is a setting in the core settings to "Autoload the tab session marked as : Load at Startup." I don't know if that's the setting I need, and I don't know how to set a location as the "Load at startup" location. I checked the documentation for quite a while and I can't figure it out.

Can anyone help me with this?

OK, I figured it out. I think you should add one point of space above each icon in the Explorer Panel. The file list seems too condensed. Please see the attached screen capture comparing your program and Explorer++. The list in Explorer++ is more spread out from top to bottom. I think the difference is that Explorer++ has one point of space above each icon in the file list.

Is there an option to adjust the margins around the icons? If not, can you add one point of space above each icon?
I think the toolbar icons would also look better with more space around them, but that is less important than the file list in the Explorer Panel.

Can you make the default font be different depending on the installed operating system?

Feature Requests and Suggestions / More icon sizes

I would really appreciate it if you could add more icon sizes in the Explorer Panel, especially in between 16x16 and 24x24. I think other programs use something like 18x18, which I would prefer.
Can you more sizes, especially:
18x18
20x20
22x22
You can remove the size names (small, medium, large). See the attachment.

It would also be nice to have more size options for the Toolbar icons, especially 20x20.
16x16 is too small and 24x24 is too large.
But this is not as important as the icon sizes in the Explorer Panel, since the icon sizes in the Explorer Panel effects the readability of the entire file list.

Thank you very much for all your hard work. This is a really nice program.

The default font that program uses is very condensed and hard to read. I think you should switch the default font to something like "Segoe UI", which Explorer++ uses.
