Feature Requests and Suggestions / PAF portable format?
« on: December 25, 2016, 04:03:12 »
I know the official portable version is available to download, but it would just be better if it is available in the PortableApps.com format (.paf.exe). Could you pack the portable version into this most popular portable format? Thank you!

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Multi-row tab display
« on: August 31, 2015, 17:27:33 »
I'm glad to see that MC can save and load tabs group to and from file, finally :D. This may not be exactly the same as tab groups in QTTabBar or Directory Opus, but that's enough to me :). Now the thing is, when there are just too many tabs there, showing all of them in single row is just inconvenient. Is it possible to allow multi-row tab display, just like in FireFox (with tab mix plus installed)? I remember FreeCommander has already been able to do this. So it will be great to have this feature, and it won't be too hard, right? Thanks.

I'm switching from QTTabBar to MC, and I'm really missing the easy manipulation of tabs into groups/favorites of the former. Whereas MC does have a "favorites", but it is really inconvenient to add an existing tab into favorites (For example in QTTabBar, I can right click on a tab and select "add to group"), and it is not easy to restore or open all tabs of a specific group (or a "section" in the favorites). Another feature that I'm missing is the "recent tabs" of QTTabBar, which will keep a list of tab history and also the recently closed tab. It will be really convenient if MC can have these features. Thank you.

Support and Feedback / Copy fails/stucks
« on: June 22, 2013, 23:25:53 »
It just gets stuck, and I cannot skip, pause, abort or even close the copy window. I can only close MC main window and wait for several seconds then everything is closed.
Tested on Windows 8 64-bit

Hello,

I was trying to copy some folders with very deep folder structure to external hard drive by using MC (to keep all folder time stamps). Since the path is > 260 characters, MC will pop-up a window providing 4 options: Rename, Skip, AutoRename and Retry using extra-long path support. I did click on the "Retry using extra-long path support", but it didn't work, and the window will pop-up again. I also checked the "Do this for ALL files with this error?" and still didn't work. Is this a bug? I am using Windows XP SP3 32-bit and MC build 1275.

I really appreciate it if this issue can be solved. Thanks in advance!

PS: I tried, and the only option that works is the "AutoRename". But this is really bad  :'(
