Got message that my public key is not correct!?

Hi,

Sorry to say but quick links (or shortcuts, or whatever you call them) in Multi Commander are very badly designed.

I've added Desktop and Downloads, clicked Save (seriously? why would I not want to save it?), but despite saving after restarting MC they disappear, the widget still shows only drive C and D.

This is what I mean: i.ibb.co/GFwYzMB/image.png

I also cannot drag'n'drop my own custom folders to this widget and there is no way to add them, seems I can only add the folders that are in the dropdown.

Support and Feedback / Re: The MC Backup file without a .zip extension

This happens only if one gives the file name other than MultiCommander_ConfigBackup, I think.

Dear Mathias,

I noticed, that a new MC backup file is created without a .zip extension. If I still need a new file I must first make a copy of the existing file, rename it, and only then use it as a new backup file.

I'm not able to reproduce that.
Can you explain more detailed what you are doing to make it happened

Hmm...  works for me in MC 12.8 (build 2929) and 13.0 (build 2948).

Do you have file extensions hidden, by any chance?

MC do not have any special sharepoint support.. But if you connect in WIndows to sharepoint shares so they are assigned to devices like S: or somethings.. then MC will be able to access it.

Hello

I'd like to connect to sharepoint sites of my company from my work laptop which has MC installed on my request. How would I be able to do that, if possible?
Thanks.

Sorry for the delay. Busy these days...

I had a chance to do a little more testing and the problem appears when MC is executed through a junction, a Windows directory symlink.

Here is what I found:
So imagine the path of the MC executable is in 'C:\usr\share\multicommander-12.8'. So I create a junction in the same parent directory and name it 'C:\usr\share\MC-J'.

Now imagine I execute MultiCommander.exe using the command line 'C:\usr\share\MC-J\MultiCommander.exe'...execute it through the junction.
From that point on, choosing the '..' entry in the directory 'C:\usr' in MC, using the mouse or keyboard, takes me to 'C:\usr\share\MC-J' instead of 'C:\' as it should.

This does not occur if I run MC through it's original path, such as 'C:\usr\share\multicommander-12.8\MultiCommander.exe'. It likewise does not occur if I use a symbolic link instead of a junction, nor does it happen using Windows shortcut files (which are, of course, NOT symlink-like at all). Only through a junction.

I'll leave it up to you to decide if it's worth spending your time on this. I can live with a symlink as my path shortener here. It should be noted however that with the now "sanctioned" use of NTFS symbolic links it could crop up more often. It originally happened to me because the '\usr' directory was on a different partition, forcing the use of a junction to achieve what I wanted with that storage layout. Not quite an edge case, that.

Thanks again for the great program.

However, I was merely extracting a single file, and the option was unavailable as it was greyed out.
It been like that since 2009.
