Make sure the tab session is loaded.. then you can do File > Tab Session > Save.. this updates the loaded tab with current
"Save As.. " will create a new tab session

Support and Feedback / How do I save session with updated stuff?
« Last post by jeycool on July 17, 2025, 16:49:09 »
Hi

I am a bit confused about how to save/update the current session. If I save with the same name it saves as a new session with the same name, so I get duplicates. If I dont save and close MC I loose my session. Is there a way to automatically save the session? How do I update the session with the current tabs so it opens with those tabs next time?

thanks

Support and Feedback / Re: Copy: rename and append greyed out

After additional testing, I report the following:

when moving a file in another location of the same partition and in the destination folder the same file is already present, the options to rename and append are greyed out.

Is there anything I might change in the settings or is it something you will investigate?
Thanks

Support and Feedback / Re: context scan menu
« Last post by Mathias (Author) on July 13, 2025, 21:28:58 »
Im note sure I understand the issue. something with option in Shell ContextMenu.
Problem is that MC do not have much control over that. MC ask Windows for the Shell Context Menu. And it is up to the installed Shell Extension. Problem is that some of them assume that trey are called from Windows Explorer. and if not. they do not return any item for the menu. So.. MC have no control of 3rd party shell extensions

Support and Feedback / context scan menu
« Last post by AvidReader on July 13, 2025, 18:45:12 »
I use Multicommander version 11.3-1822 / September 2021, because I don't like the ho(o)ver function and turning it off didn't succeed. I noticed that the contextmenu that I access using the right mouse button doesn't have the scan option anymore. The only time when I get the scan option in the context menu is when I select a map, and even then it's hidden in a submenu. I use antivirus software that contains a firewall. When I decided to uninstall that software I noticed the windows defender scanner immediately turned up in the context menu, directly accessible. After re-installing my anti virus/ firewall software my problem returned.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Feature Requests and Suggestions / copy dialog colors in dark mode
« Last post by Jean on July 11, 2025, 07:40:38 »
Mathias,
Just a small feature request, the copy dialog in dark mode only has black/white and green for the progress bar. While the dialog in light mode has a few colors which i always loved, could you color the dark one just a little bit more.
Thanks.
