Hi,Yes it go to white text color, so having white background make it fails.
There is an issue in favourite windows (since months, I've already informed you in the past by mail), there is not text visible on focused item. It doesn't matter which colour you set.

But you can "pin" server in the network (NET:) and they will always be shown there, It will cache it.. and you can often just access directly without scanning againAlright, this has nothing to do with the beta version, but I don't understand why the fritz-nas icon under the network icon is not working and instead a new icon has been created at the bottom. Please watch my screenshot. This has nothing to do with reachability. How does pinning work with NET:? i have no idea.
Sorry I should have specified 'hang'It always say that been doing a dump from a hang.
I've got a dump via TM whilst it was in a hung state (TM doesn't show a not responding flag, just 0% CPU use).
The /upload URL says 404 dead so I'll send you a link.
BTW At first glance BREAKPOINT_80000003 caught my eye...
Unfortunately nothing gets written. Nothing in Event Viewer either.Hang not a crash, Okey. That big difference. then it is probably waiting for Windows to return after a OS call.
On both W10 & 11 on the 22H.xx builds I'm seeing MC hang most of the time when closed.
It is still visible on the desktop & via TM can be forced closed.
Only RMB on taskbar works nothing else reacts to keys or mouse. The RMB/taskbar dialog doesn't answer clicks.
It always successfully saves state even tho it doesn't complete the close / exe termination properly.
Maybe I can run a trace on the exe when I close it? Any recommendations?
SRY, as for the buttons font, MC goes back to default font after restart.Panel tab width ? You meen the size of the Tab for the panels ?
In core setting using Layout > Panel Tab, you can set TabWidth and you can also have a fixed width
You can changed the button panel font by editing the MultButtons.xml file..
See https://forum.multicommander.com/forum/index.php/topic,1608.msg5850.html
10X, working
and as for the tabs on the tab panel I see that if I change the fonts than the height of the tab is also changing in height. Where can I change the height of the tabs as a default.
Hi.
I received a new desktop at work with WIN11 and since the change of the OS I get gibberish on the email subject. I attached a screen capture to show it. I used to have a WIN 7 OS on the old desktop.
Since I work in Israel than the default language is Hebrew and the HEB fonts are changing to some other symbols.
Does any one knows how to solve it?
It is just the beta.. ? or all version ? all folder location ?It's just the beta. I always do this when I install a new program or a update. Do you never use protected folders? Do you start your MC as Admin? My Windows account is an admin account. Maybe that's the difference.I know what network shares are.. you talked about checking symbols and stuff..Method A and Method B works not for me, maybe you have different settings.
I have not seen any issues with accessing a network shares, uses it daily my self without any issue
Thanks for the explanation Mathias.No.. Should be no difference in Win11 and Win10. Have not been able to reproduce. Impossible to figure out without being able to reproduce.
Any ideas about failure to shut down properly on Win11?
The admin-mode don't work anymore. Not able to reproduce that
I know what network shares are.. you talked about checking symbols and stuff..Your what ?A "network share" is a shared resource, like a file or folder, made available over a network for access by other devices. It allows files to be shared and accessed remotely within a connected network.
The network shares are usually consolidated under the network symbol in the directory tree.
Very nice. If you have a little more time, could you check why a new symbol of the network share is always created in the directory tree when accessing a network share?Your what ?
Another RMB context menu issue on Win11 -Some of 3rd party shell extension assumes that they are run from windows explorer and do stuff depending on that. They can't be fakes since they expect the Windows Explorer Window to be there or similar.
I've found that with OpenHashTab 3.0.4 https://github.com/namazso/OpenHashTab/releases/tag/v3.0.4:-
RMB>properties>hashes = OK (<Alt+enter> also works OK)
RMB>Hashes = MC CTD & Restart
Both these functions are error free in vanilla Explorer.
It's not a vital issue but maybe this error reveals sth useful about how Win11 & MC context menu relate now?
The longer MC is open, the more such links appear in the directory tree. Now, after one day, I have six copies of the virtual folders without seeing a recognizable cause. But when I access my network shares, new duplicates are created when a network resource is not reachable or is erroneously deemed not reachable. So it is triggered not by something you do... ok then its going to be hard to figure out why. hmm might just revert back the code and remove so that those special folders are not in the tree then.. for now..
