Support and Feedback / Re: OneDrive folder
« on: March 11, 2020, 12:25:28 »
Yes, it is onedrive, for sure.

I've added a user defined command and button to jump into that folder, so I have a workaround. Just wondered if i could make it work with the built-in device drop-down.

thx

Thanks

This is a Win10 machine, so I'd consider it recent. What should I check besides the environment variables?

Support and Feedback / OneDrive folder
« on: March 10, 2020, 09:28:23 »
Hello Mathias,

my OneDrive folder is not C:\Users\account\OneDrive but C:\Users\account\companyname (OneDrive commercial). Environment variables set accordingly:

echo %OneDrive%
C:\Users\account\companyname

echo %OneDriveCommerial%
C:\Users\account\companyname

However, MC dropdown changes directory to C:\Users\account\OneDrive

Is there anything I can do to make it use a different folder? (v9.6.1 build 2582 x64)

thanks

Support and Feedback / Re: SharePoint mapped drive

I see. However, when MC makes a change (moves a file) then it is aware of that some change has happened. Maybe would worth to refresh on its own then.

Support and Feedback / SharePoint mapped drive
« on: June 14, 2016, 15:14:20 »
I have a SharePoint site mapped as a drive. I think it is using FPRPC protocol showing as https://example.com/site in Windows Explorer.

When I move a file with MC to a subdirectory, I need to manually refresh the drive to update the directory contents. Is this an expected behaviour?

OK, that explains. I just find the behavior inconsistent from user point of view (works differently in the two cases).

thanks

Just wondering why it works for a single file...

Same for v6.

Even after a reboot I can still see the old icon. Not a big deal, just a FYI.

Support and Feedback / installer: Icon not updated in Start menu

Hi Mathias,

new icon is in use for MC but the Start menu icon is still the old one after upgrading from v5 to v6.

Support and Feedback / unzip into a protected dir
« on: March 30, 2016, 13:47:53 »
Hi Mathias!

Some SW I use come in ZIP format and I prefer to copy those into C:\Program Files manually. This is a protected dir requires Administrator Mode active.

If I press Enter on the ZIP file and select all the files, then try to copy to C:\Program Files, nothing happens. If I try to copy only one file, MC asks if I want to activate Administrator Mode and answering Yes allows me to copy. Can you add the same question when multiple files selected and being copied?

Thanks.

For syncing I use http://ipmsg.org/tools/fastcopy.html.en (kinda left to right only mode). Have lots of options on different cases - maybe worth a look.

Hi Mathias,

I'd like to add custom buttons to the Explorer panels either on a "mini quick launch bar" (entire row) or by customizing the Command Buttons. These would act on the panel where the button was pressed.

Usecases:
changing current directory (now I have to select the panel first and use the Quick Launch bar button created before. Many times I forget to select the panel first...)
launching command on the directory shown in the panel
...

Thanks,
KrisztiƔn

Support and Feedback / DPI again
« on: July 18, 2014, 09:41:53 »
Just checked the latest About window and looks a little messed up with 125% DPI.

The MultiDataViewer issue I posted is fixed with the latest build (v4.4 1725).

Thanks Mathias.

If you want just wheel scrol in unfocused windows, AlwaysMouseWheel works ok in MultiDataViewer and Chrome.
Thanks, it works indeed. However makes Volumouse stop working  :(

18
I figured out that the mouse wheel problem was caused by a tool I use: http://ehiti.de/katmouse/ I disabled it now and I'm able to scroll vertically now with the mouse wheel. One mystery resolved... I'll disable Katmouse for MultiDataViewer, although it is a very useful tool to scroll unfocused windows with the wheel. Some apps are incompatible, one is Google Chrome. Looks like MultiDataViewer is another one  :(

Regarding the scrollbar. I resized the window, made it smaller and vertical scrollbar did appear. However, the size seems to be wrong: I dragged it down and I'm still at about 50% of the file (see screenshot1).

Then I increased the window a little bit, and the vertical scrollbar disappeared again (see screenshot2).

Arrow keys work in all cases.

This is a Win7 x64 machine, with DPI set to 125% - not sure if this matters. Did not cause such issues so far, though.

19
I noticed this behavior only on certain files :o
I'm not able to scroll vertically with mouse either, only horizontally...

I have attached such a file. It is a text file with UNIX style line breaks (LF).

20
I'm viewing a (not too long) ASCII text file with MultiDataViewer and there is no vertical scrollbar to move in the document. Is this an option I turned off accidentally?

Support and Feedback / unZIP password protected archives
« on: May 05, 2014, 11:58:33 »
I found a 2 years old thread about password protected ZIP archives are not supported. I received a few zip files now and have to uncompress them with an external SW.

Any plans to implement this in the near future?

Thank you.

Support and Feedback / Re: high CPU usage
« on: April 08, 2014, 09:38:57 »
Yes, maybe I missed it. This was just discovered yesterday, that a high load was after FTP connection. I pressed the disconnect button, yes.

Earlier I just noticed my notebook air vents gone crazy and saw 50% (full core) load. I don't remember any specific activity before these occasions, happened a few times. I'll watch out and try to catch one of those.

Thanks

I managed to reproduce the high load by connecting and disconnecting to an FTP site. I'm not sure if the issue is related, I have uploaded the dump (high load - MultiCommander.DMP).

Support and Feedback / high CPU usage
« on: April 07, 2014, 11:31:28 »
I experience occasional high CPU usage for no (obvious) reason on Win7 64bit with MC v4.1 (build 1620) 64 bit. The software still works but keeps 1 CPU core busy on a 2 core notebook (50% load). If I restart MC the problem goes away for a while.
I don't recall such issue with previous versions.
Is there anything I should check when I experience the problem? Thank you.
